Fire Fighter One (NFPA1001 Code of Practice)

This is an in-depth course run at the Brixton Training School. It covers all aspects of fire fighting from fire behaviour, to water supply. The course is offered either part-time or full-time to volunteers.


Fire Fighter Two

This qualification expands the training of a fire fighter one to include vehicle rescue (Jaws of Life etc), types of building construction and incident command.


In addition to the above, fire fighters have the opportunity to study a variety of building engineering, chemical engineering and other theoretical topics all the way up to bachelors degree level.
